Im doing both on same leg- the keepsake im keeping higher up on the leg then the one FH pulls off right under it!

We didn't do the garter thing so I only had one garter. I had it on my right leg...didn't really think about it...just did it.

I think right sounds right Everything always is the right side for osme reason except where you wear your ring.

I am going to do right since my FH is right handed and thats where he will prob look first - is that even good reasoning?

My throw away is identical to my keeper so I'm putting one on each leg-no matter which one he goes for it'll be okay.

i would go with whatever feel s right for you. just put it on and see which way you go. personally i would probably go with the right leg.
