fur bolero, wrap or stole to wear with wedding dress...

I am getting married in 16 days and it has just dawned on me that it might be a smart idea to get something to wear over my strapless dress. Yes I know you are probably thinking, hello girl you are getting married in Feb how can you not have thought about this earlier, but with all the craziness it didn't cross my mind. Maybe it has been the nice 50 degree weather just going to my head, lol.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get one in such a short period of time. I would prefer to try it on and see it in person. If you have one can you post a pic too.

Thanks for your help!!

My dress is a dark sand color, so I ended up with a faux cream color fur jacket from new york and Co. It looks really pretty qand will def. keep me warm, as I guarentee a blizzard on the 17th...LOL

Re: fur bolero, wrap or stole to wear with wedding dress...

I found a lot on ebay - they come pretty quick, and some sellers have great return policies. I just recently saw one in the window at Ann Taylor - if you want to try what they ahve to get a general idea of the size and feel to it - you can then go on ebay to order it.

I've heard great reviews on this vendor:

ebay seller: linenandlaceclassicdesigns

David's Bridal carries a fur wrap. Just over the shoulders and very cute.

Re: fur bolero, wrap or stole to wear with wedding dress...

These are gorgeous; I wanted one but it was too warm on my day and I wore a plain wrap for like 5 minutes, but I have it on in my TY pic!

The Ann Taylor one is thinner than these, but still nice.

Re: fur bolero, wrap or stole to wear with wedding dress...

Thank you girls....I will def check out ann taylor.

My dress is diamond white, so I am a little concerned about the color of the fur and making sure it isn't pure white and or too ivory. Guess I am just going to have to take a chance on this one. I too have my fingers crossed that it will be to warm to even wear one!

Re: fur bolero, wrap or stole to wear with wedding dress...

I hope this attaches...a friend of mine had an ivory lace dress and had a vanilla color fur wrap/cape.

ETA: Not attaching...it says it's an unrecognizable size.

Re: fur bolero, wrap or stole to wear with wedding dress...

One word:
Target

I bought and then returned a really nice one (I was suprised how nice!) for my wedding and know for a fact that they still have them in stock. At least the one in the East Nothport/Commack area did last weekend.

I returned beforehand because 1) my husband thought I looked like a fool in it 2) he was kind of right since i have more of a classic preppy style than a glamour bling bling style 3) i still need something borrowed and blue and my girlfriend had a gorgeous vintage blue pashmina that fit the bill.

I got mine at TJ Maxx for like $20.
My dress was also Diamond White and you couldn't really tell the color difference at all.
