Is it as hard as people make it out to be???HAD to Bump this because it makes me laugh!!!!

I keep hearing how hard it is for women to get pregnant... Is it hard? I am 32 and getting married in June - I don't want to wait too long, maybe a year - but will it be difficult for me? FH says if I think it will, then unconsciously I may send that message to my body - but I guess I need to hear that its not that hard - what are signs that your body will conceive well? I am very regular each month - is that a good sign? I have never been on the pill either...

good question.... I get concerned about this as well. I will have just turned 32 when I get married. I used to be highly irregular but have become more regular over the past year.

i am not pregnant but i think that it can be genetic. if your mom/grandma got prego easy you might. but its just like anything i would guess probably will be easy but has a chance of not being. i hope its easy for all of us!!!!!

First time I wasnt trying and the second time it took me less than one month. So I think it depends on the person. It took my friend 2 years.

Depends on your body AND your husband's sperm. Overweight women, women with health problems and those on poor diets tend to have a slightly harder time conceiving.

I can tell you that I got pregnant last fall, while trying hard not to. I'm 30, and healthy.

I was off the pill (giving my body a break) but we were using condoms and spermicide. So, obviously we didn't find it hard

Most people plan a year on average to get pregnant. But so many people I know have gotten pregnant within a few months. Others have taken much longer.

Honestly I think it truly has to do with how in tune you are with your own body.. Do you know when you ovulate? Do you generally know when you are most fertile? Most women have NO idea, and for those women it takes the longest. I am very intune with my body, and with both of my children I conceived within a few months, sucessfully. Theres a great site, www.babyzone.com that you can actually keep track of your period, and then on their 'calendar' it will show you generally when your most fertile time of the month is.. If your cycles are not always the same amount of time apart, or very irregular you may also have trouble...

Lifamilies has a great TTC (trying to conceive) board, and many more suggestions including charting and other methods. best wishes for those of you who are anticipating TTC!

The fact that you are regular is good. I don't think there is any way to tell if it will happen right away or if it will take time. I know people that got pregnant the first time trying and I know people that are still waiting over a year.

It really depends on your body and your husbands spermy. It took us one time.

I was searching for one of my old posts and found this one - boy oh boy was I stupid for worrying - 3 weeks after our wedding, and I get knocked up without even trying!!!
