Hand Canceling Help?

FH is bugging me about taking them tomorrow. Do you have to wait there for them to be done? Can he just say Hand cancel and that's it? How does this work??
I AM DYING to send them out already

Where are you going to mail them from? We expected to hand cancel them ourselves, but they guy helping us said they would do it for us. We didn't even have to wait for them to be done. It was a pleasant surprise. We dropped them off at around 4:30ish Monday and people got them the NEXT DAY! I couldn'e believe it. We have gotten 6 responses already!! - since monday!

I went to the post office in Commack, and they handed me the stamp and I did it myself. Took me all of maybe 5 minutes to do 58 envelopes.

I mailed them out Saturday, and a lot of people (including FBIL in Oregon!) got them on Monday. The rest on Tuesday.

When you go depending on the PO, you will either end up doing it yourself or they will do it for you, but you will have to wait on line for it either way.

I already got 4 responses back as of today, so the post office is on the ball!!
