Ladies,
Anyone have anything to say about Chateau La Mer? and if so, can you compare it to any other halls?

CLM was one of the places we considered until we got there.. I know it's on the water but it smelled toooooo fishy for us.. and we thought it was too outdated, even thought they were fixing it up..
We were also going to look at Venetian Yacht Club, but I didn't like the idea that they were under new ownership and I didn't like looking out the window to the room upstairs and seeing a parking lot..

I have a wedding there this summer. Its a good friend. She loves it there. She is the post pickey person and it took her about 15 halls to find the right one. I have only heard good things about CLM. I have seen it and its beautiful!! Good Luck!! You can also check the brides review I am sure there are good reviews on there.

Definitely do a search, there have been many LIW girls who had their weddings there with AMAZING things to say!

Our wedding will be there in June and there are a few reasons we chose CLM: the price was great, ballroom is beautiful, food is amazing (they let you do a tasting before you book), the people (esp Nick) are so nice and helpful AND noooo it doesn't smell fishy!

I am having my wedding there 9/16/07...I love it there! the rooms are beautiful, they have a yacht arrival, they are just about finished fixing it up, the people are soo nice and helpful especially Nick...If you have any questions FM me!

OH Man...I definitely reccomend CLM!!!

I love that place so much I'm thinking about having my engagement party there this summer. We went to a food tasting...the food is out of this world....IMO the food compares to Russos. The grand ballroom is absolutely elegant and the view is just captivating. Makes for great pictures.

More importantly...the price is right for everything you get....and the staff is so customer service oriented!! They treat people like family there and are very attentive....IMO that is very important! I love CLM.....I have a ton of info on it since it was my 2nd runner up...FM if you need info..HTH

I've been there twice, once for a wedding and for the WOTY. THe food is amazing and the services is wonderful.

I loved CLM.. We were going to book there but we decided on Villa Lombardi's. I loved meeting with Lou... he was great! Its beautiful and the renovations are going to make it even better!

i loved CLM.. i fell in love with it when i got there.. yes - some of the things looked outdated, but nick (who is great!!) told us of all the renovations they were planning... the deck was what got me - i love that the water is right there and cocktail hr able to be outside and inside.. the ballroom is beautiful - neutral colors, and the food was AMAZING!!
