*NEW PICS ADDED* Invite Fashion Show ::POLL::

So... Let me set this up first so you can adjust your visual.....

This is a sample invite I made with cardstock that I had on hand. The final invite will be aqua and brown cardstock (I only had light blue and burgundy). I originally did it with raffia but now want to go with satin ribbon to dress them up a bit.

My BM's will be in aqua and MOH will be in espresso so aqua will be the more dominant with brown as a heavy accent. Do you like the aqua ribbon or brown ribbon and do you like the thin width or wide width?

The final bows will be tied nicer with more concentration and the tails will be cut to not extend past the edge of the invite.

Okay.... so I've just added another component... my inner envelope/pouch. This may make you change your mind. Once again, to set up the proper visual... The burlap pouch will be in natural color to match the invite layer (don't even say you like it, it's just not gonna happen!). The seal will not be the Kahlua bottle 'K' but lips (sealed with a chocolate kiss!) with an aqua ribbon. This may help see why I abandoned the beloved raffia. I love the ribbon in the seal and wanted it to have a friend inside!

I LOVE the raffia. The wide aqua is super nice too. I think wide white would look nice too

The idea for these invites came from a site that had a $1500 minimum!

But mostly for me... it's not even about the saving. My family would expect it from me! I make everything! If they got a storebought invite... they would not come!!!! Just kidding! I just have a hard time paying someone else to do something I know and love to do myself! I'm obsessed with DIY!

They are all gorgeous! I had a hard time picking but voted for the raffia just b/c I liked it with the background best....I love the thin and choc satin ribbon too. Didn't love the aqua ribbon as much.

Dang it!!! You guys are not supposed to pick the raffia and it's tied for first!!!!

I was thinking I was over the raffia! I wanted the burlap to be the only natural texture because I am using burlap in other details (aisle runner, boutennierres, centerpieces...) and not doing raffia anywhere else. I just had a ton from our e-party so I used it when I made the sample but I finished it all on this year's Christmas presents!!!!! No more raffia! Oy! Does anyone have the number to Rexcraft?!
