I have officially changed my florist!!!

I have officially changed my florist!!!

Now I gotta call George tomorrow to cancel with him, but I booked tonight with Laurie at LA Blossom!!! This is actually the first time ever that I am excited about my flowers!!!

We also came up with an amazing idea for the CPs based loosely on one of the CPs from WOTY. I think everyone will be surprised!! We're doing the same CP in different colors and fruits on each table!!

Finally I am so happy, and after all the changes we made, she came in under my budget!!! I am sooo happy!!!

I'm cancelling for a few reasons.
1. Out of the 4 times I've been there, he wasn't there for 2 of the appointments. And 2 of those times nothing could be done, so basically I drove from Smithtown to Bellmore for nothing. If you can't make it, at least call me so I don't waste my time.
2. He didn't seem that enthusiastic. Very matter of fact. That works for some people, but after doing a lot of thinking, I realized I want someone more enthusiastic and creative.
3. He wasn't capable of doing some of the things I wanted.
4. I was disappointed in my bo-k sample. It was just very blah.

Don't get me wrong, it's not his work I question. He does beautiful work and I really wanted to stick with him, but these things just kept nagging me in the back of my head. I wanted to be excited about my flowers, and they just didn't do that for me.

Good for you for following with your gut instinct! If you can't get excited about your vendor (which you're spening plenty of $$$ on) then you SHOULD find someone else! Glad it all worked out for you!

that's great that you found someone that makes you happy Janna. that is what it's all about. It just goes to show how one vendor does not fit all. I've had great experiences with George, but if he doesn't work for you, you are 100% right to get someone that does.

That's terrific!

I agree with Jess.... there is a vendor for everyone and what makes one person happy (the matter of fact type of personality was a big PLUS for me), doesn't do it for other people.
