Big time help!! Need some advice- with poll
Ladies, my wedding is in 6 1/2 months and I still have not yet made a decision about bm dresses. My dilemma is that I found a Bill Levkoff dress that I liked, but I didnt LOVE, only because I didnt like the pinks that Bill Levkoff offers. So instead I was going to settle for the dress in red with a black sash or black with a pink sash. (Dress in beige pic #2)Then just before I was about to make my final decision, I saw this dress from the new Spring 06 Watters line that i LOVE and the pink they have is the perfect color for what I want. (Dress in green pic #1)
Both dresses are 2 piece, satin, a-line skirt, sleeveless.
The dilemma is that since the dress is soooo new, nobody has a sample yet. I have called every store in NY and even contacted Watters directly. The stores probably wont have a sample before mid-March, which is cutting my ordering time extremely close.
Should I:
1. Wait for a dress that I have never had anyone try on and risk cutting my time very short?
2.Order the dress I dont like as much in a color that I am not that excited about?
3. Order the dress without anyone trying a sample- knowing that the cuts are very similar and everyone already tried on the levkoff dress and looked great in it?

I love #1! My BM dresses were just ordered 3 weeks ago (about 4 months & 2 weeks before the wedding) so I think you have time to wait till a sample comes in.

So I totally love the Watters dress. Like Jess says... you have plenty of time to wait. Our wedding is a week after yours and I have an appt. to order dresses on March 24th. Waiting for your girls to try on will be no problem at all.It really sounds like you will not be happy with the other dress. Go with your gut and do not settle.
Have you tried Angel Bridals in East Islip? 631.581.3330. They had most of their new stuff in last month and I could have sworn they had Watters.
Good luck!

I havent called them, i will call tomorrow- Thanks for the tip! A lot of the stores got a few of the spring line, but not all of the dresses. No one seems to have this one and I am obsessed with it. Thanks for saying you love it! I think its worth the wait, but i dont want to get screwed.

I am not sure - how long did they say your first choice dress would take to come in? My BM dresses took 5 months to come in (they came in early too) some designers take a while. I would check to see how long it would take from the date you ordered for their estimate.

I would check with the stores on amount of time each designer says just to be sure...our Levkoff dresses took 7 1/2 months to come in (ordered in Nov, came in June for our July wedding).....BUT even though they say they didn't wait to order them I think they may have.Welcome New Vendors
