Wishing Well at a shower (baby, bridal no matter)

So I'm not asking for opinions of whether you think you are supposed to wrap the items or not, just what you usually do.

I'm a wrapper, I don't know why. Even when it's something difficult to wrap.

I really want to wrap *and* put a tag on usually because I think I've come up with something so brilliant or cute that I need to take credit for it!!!!

Ok, I replied never wrap - but its usually because I remember there is a wishing well as I'm walking out the door!

Re: Wishing Well at a shower (baby, bridal no matter)

Each time I attempt to wrap a gift, I fail miserably, no matter what size or shape it is. I am also absent minded so I never remember to get or bring a wishing well gift. So I can't answer the poll because ISUK.

Damn!! How did I not think of putting an 'ISUK' option in the poll???? Or 'idealogically opposed'????

Re: Wishing Well at a shower (baby, bridal no matter)

I think I usually wrap. I personally like to unwrap gifts - it's not as much fun to me if I see what it is b/f I pick it up.

Before my own wedding I didn't wrap, now I wrap.

I think I had a geneal loathing of all things shower before I was engaged.

Now I appreciate how them more & I try to go all out & be all cutesy.

I had a mixutre of wrapped & unwrapped & enjoyed that, so I do my part for the wrapped side.

ETA-- My friends were VERY amused by the the 10th--'ooh, baggies. . . '

The 1st one I ever went to, she didn't open everything, she just sort of browsed the unwrapped things & held up a few. That was the one where we were assigned items.

The only other one I went to before mine, was small & she did go through them all--that's when I learned that some people wrap!

Then at mine, it was small & I not many were wrapped so I opened them & held up most things, but it was mostly Ziplock bags, so it went quickly.

I have been to 2 baby showers & 1 didn't havea wishing well & one just had the book kind & she just looked through some of them.

Re: Wishing Well at a shower (baby, bridal no matter)

I wrap always
I love to wrap things.

I'm sick like that

And I'm idealogically opposed to giving a gift without wrapping

I went through my wishing well at my shower.....
i think its nice when the nicer gifts are wrapped, but the $1-2 items I think dont need to be wrapped for suspense
