Happy hour in NYC?

Does anyone know of a bar/restaurant in the city that has a really good happy hour? My friends and I hardly ever leave Long Island so we thought it would be fun to hang out in the city for a change. Thanks for your help!

Hey JennyO - there was a great Mexican place on 2nd that we used to go to after work (or during lunch) for margaritas. A couple of blocks Grand Central....It was usually good for happy hour, but its out of the way from Penn. There are plenty of sports bars right around Penn too where I used to meet my friends in the city.
I can't remember any of the names....but call me and I can tell you where they are....or depending on what night you head in, I'll show you ;)

There's a new bar right in midtown. It's Harmony View and it's right by the 1 train. That always makes it easier for me when I have to go back to LI a little loopy.

It's at 50th and B'way. The drinks are great and it's Irish in nature but they have a full menu as well for some munchies.

The mexican place you are talking about is Calico Jacks (42nd and 2nd)
Also next door is an 'irish' bar that has a pretty solid happy hour. called Mcfaddens

Thers also LOTS of bars with great Hh specials around West 4th (2 stops on the A train downtown)
Off the wagon, Down the hatch.. *2 dollar drinks.. a pretty solid dj sometimes overcrowded.

If you girls want beer.. Mcsorleys...

Futrmrsblt you are making me homesick.
I used to hang out at all these places before I moved to Los Angeles last year. They don't really do happy hour out here.
