cst teacher exam this coming saturday....what...
should i expect from it?? i am taking the students with disabilites.... please help thanks

i found that studying for my comprehensice exam for my university helped me immensely. FM if you have specific questions

I didn't study and I did well on all of them. They are common sense questions. A lot of dsylexia if I remember correctly, and reading problems.

You always think it is one answer but is always the other. REALLY READ THE QUESTION... it is no joke really hard, they ask you questions out of nowhere...

I found it hard...know the most common 'school' disabilities. I didn't study for any of them and di well...but read, read and read the question again!Hey, I passed when I had the flu (throwing up and all at the test!)

I didn't think it was that hard......just very tricky! I remember a few questions on medications and what disabilities certain meds are used for! The practice questions online are much easier than the actual test questions, but if you just take your time and read the questions carefully you will do fine!FM me if you need more info on the medications I have a list I used for my comps saved on word!

Don't worry you'll do fine. I took the first CSI multi-subject & there was NO study guide & I did fine, first try. You'll be okay, just read carefully!

honestly, i found all the teacher tests to be a joke--got almost a perfect score on 2 and a perfect score on 1. but then again, i'm a good test taker...they are very common sense. just take your time and you'll do fine. you really can't study for them--buying the book to study from isn't worth it in my opinion. but others may differ.

I took it over the summer and did fine. there was a lot of questions regarding collaboration and working in a cooperative enviornment...lots of it was common sense....What really helped me was reviewing the sample essay on the ny state department of ed website....u will be fine.. good luck!!!

The CSTs are SOOO easy.... maybe I am just an okay test taker, but I never studied for them and always did fine. I have my masters in special ed. and found the CST for that very easy. they will ask a lot on reading issues, but if you have any teaching experience at all and were half awake in college during class, you'll do fine!!! they will also ask a lot of questions on speech language/processing issues, but again very common for learning disabled kids.like others have said, most of their questions have multiple answers that could be right. My advice choose the BEST answer(there is that answer that is juts that little bit better than the other choices, so just make sure to re-read questions

Multisubject test is so easy... it's more like a reading comprehension/general knowledge test rather than a test on how to teach. you'll be fine!
