Work related--NERVOUS!!!

Let me start with I had foot surgery on Jan 16, and was going to be out sick for my 10 alloted sick days and return to work on Tues Jan 31. On Monday Jan 30, my manager (who does our payroll) told me via phone that I only had 7 sick days and I was not getting paid for the last 3 days. I was fine w/ that.

I went back to work, but was in pain and uncomfortable. I discussed it w/ FH and my brother (my brother is my roommate) and I decieded to stay home, file for disability and go back when I am completely healed. Before leaving I found out I had 3 1/2 vacation days left and the next day told my manager via voicemail that I wanted to use those days.

I get in the mail my paycheck (I get direct deposit, so really it's just a pay stub), to find I was only paid $7.98 for the 5 Hrs I worked. It also said I was paid for the 3 1/2 days, but then I was deducted 3 1/2 days of sick time!

I sent emails today to HR, my manager and Payroll to ask W-T-F and was told that I acutally had a negetive balance of sick time and the payroll guy and my director decided to adjust the overage of sick hours.

I then formulated a detailed email, and sent it!

I AM PETRIFIED!!!! I don't want it to be held against me!! I was not nasty or rude, just to the point. I am protected my FMLA, but still...I hve to go back and work with these people, they could make my life a living hell!!!!

It suxs that they're doing this. I had an unfortunate 'meeting' with my manager about sick time too. Anyway, I would FM suven as she's in HR and is helpful!

Thank you all for your support!!! My manager and director called me and we talked. They played their act, of caring and saying sick time and such are not under their control. Essentially they are going to talk with payroll and HR to determine how to correct their error.
