Laser hair removal (WR????)

I was contemplating doing laser hair removal (legs and underarms). My philosophy... When is that going to be in fashion, right?

Did anyone do it (and is satisfied) or heard of it through friends?

Does it really work? I need all the info I can get.

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.

I do my underarms and it is the best thing I have ever done for myself...started last August and shave maybe once a month right now...maybe. I only go once every 10 weeks now....a few more times and hopefully I will be shaving once every few months! It is great - DO IT!

My laser girl is in Garden City and she is awesome and cheap if you want her info - FM me. I pay $50 for underarms.

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

I thought that was permanent. How long do you have to do it before you have to stop shaving?

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

it is eventually permanent...but it takes a long time!!! over a year - first you go once every 4 weeks...then every 6 weeks....now i'm up to every 10 weeks! it takes a while but is so worth it!
you notice a change immediately though...hair grows in much less and so much softer and finer!

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

I also have done it. I also performed it for a few years. It is a permanent reduction in hair growth. It is not permanent removal. I think it was the best thing I ever did. I have to shave my legs every 3-4 months. The hair comes in slower and A LOT less. It is also softer hair. My underarms I am down to about 2 hairs on each side that come in every other month or so. The darker and coarser the hair the better it works with the laser. The lighter and softer the hair the harder is it to remove with laser. But it does take many treatments and it can be costly but I say its worth it. You can FM if you need more info.

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

I had it done 3 times already and I still have to go back. I guess I didn't realize how many times you have to go.

I don't know...at this point, I'm not so sure it's worth it. I still have to shave all the time.

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

I had it done 2 times so far, and the results have been amazing. I can say its definately very very expensive but if i add up all the mach3 turbos i have bought i definately think there is a comparision. I went to a cosmetic surgery center and i think i paid top dollar. I would love to find out a place that is cheaper? I paid 400 for 1 session of bikini and underarms...is that normal?

I say that is a pretty good price. I was quoted I think $300 for just underarms and that was over a year ago. I haven't gotten them done yet, but I've been thinking about it.

I've had my bikini line done, and I can say that I haven't shaved in over a year. It has totally been worth it. I go now for touch ups only on my tummy, which has proven to be a bit more stubborn. The last time I went was almost a year ago, and I'm getting ready to make an appointment for a touch-up.

Re: Laser hair removal (WR????)

i had done laser removal on my face (mustache) abt 6 yrs ago - after 6 sessions and alot of $$, it did nothing for me. I now do electrolysis. laser hair removal is not guaranteed to go away - and electrolysis is the only thing that is guaranteed - but it hurts!!!

eta: every body is diff - so bc it didnt work for me - it might not work for others. HTH
