Need Quick Response- Registry Question

Hello I am just beginning to start my registry, I went to Fortunoff's yesterday & today I was going to check out Bed Bath & Beyond and I was thinking about Target. Can anyone please give me any pointers as to which places has the best selection, pricing, and customer service?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please tell me about your experience or family/friends experience with the stores below.

Fortunoff

Bed Bath & Beyond

Target

Thanks again!

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

I have no problems with Bed Bath and Beyond. I think the Internet service for Fortunoff is slacking and I don't know anything about Target.

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

I love BB&B.
The store on Sunrise in Patchogue or something is great! They have fine china and all. And their prices are comparable to 'Macy's Big Sale' prices. HTH-
Have fun with it!!!!!

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

BB&B is great in terms of customer service and variety of products..I haven't registered yet but have never had a problem finding anything off of someone's registry.
Fortunoff is good if you go there in person to buy the gift. I have had tons of problems purchasing things for people online (if I couldn't make it to a shower and wanted to send a gift) - they don't tell you anything (I ordered things that were back-ordered without knowing it and never received any email or anything!), they mail out each item individually from different stores - just a total mess and very behind with technology! That said, if you aren't going to have people making online purchases then you shouldn't have a problem.
No experience with Target.

Good luck!

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

I vote for Bed Bath and Beyond.

I was only registered at Fortunoff. It was good in the beginning, but went down hill.

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

I love Fortunoff. We registered there!!! I also know a lot o brides got o BB&B also and they are happy. The one complaint i have heard w/ Target is that a lot of the Target stores carry different stuff, so you might find it in one and then not in the other. We also did Crate and Barrel and we loved them too!!!

I registered at bed bath & beyond and Macy's. They both had good service and also they are alot easier to find then a Fortunoff.

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

we registered at Fortunoff & B,B&B

B,B&B customer service FAR exceeds that of Fortunoff. Fortunoff lets you return registry items until 90 days after your wedding and gives you a store credit only.

B,B&B lets you return registry items with no time limit and they give you CA$H!

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

LOVE BB&B, Fortunoff is great for formal stuff, and I'm not too crazy about Target's registry. I tried finding things off someone's registry there and it was a nightmare. But I love Target, it's just a little hard to find things there, IMO.

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

i like fortunoff. they're good with bridal returns (but not with general returns, IMO!) and they've got a huge selection.

BB&B had the greatest service -- treated me like a princess and I hear they'll give you cash back for returned registry items (I ended up deleted that registry b/c i didn't need the stuff so i can't confirm that.)

I don't know anything about Target.

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

Love BB&B! We found the best service there. We registered at BB&B & Fortunoff, but at Fortunoff the only thing we registered for there were dishes (non-china). They had a great pattern that we couldn't find anywhere else. We use these dishes as our 'formal dishes'.

Target stinks for returns. BBB gives you cash back which is cool!

Re: Need Quick Response- Registry Question

I registered at target and Bed bath and beyond... I just returned 400.00 worth of stuff to BB&B with no hassel. got Cash right back. also after the wedding you get a certain percentage off the remaining items on your registry. Target on the other hand was horrible... I have to return 2 duplicate Items, I didnt have the receipt and I felt horrible asking the guest to give me the receipt for them so They wanted to give me just and exchange for the same item!!! I had to sit and demand that I get a store credit atleast.... I will never register there for a baby shower.., I wouldnt be recommeding them either! Sorry it was sooo long!
