Re: parents albums...
I left this in my parents hands ... and I am glad I did, there was very little overlap in the pictures I liked and that they liked.

We let both of our parents pick their pictures--made life easier.

Re: parents albums...
Since I did my wedding album myself... at cost... I actually gave the parents the same exact wedding album that me and my wife got.So while the parents didn't get to 'pick their pictures'... they got the same huge royal album that I did for myself... which had pretty much every decent picture in there. My royal album was 54 pages big... (or 27 2 sided pages).

We did the same thing. I knew no matter what we would have picked my MIL would of had something to say about it.

Re: parents albums...
I would recommend showing them to your parents and his if you can, since they may want photos you would not think they would care for.We showed his parents, but mine are in Florida and do not know have an email account or know how to web surf (drives me crazy)!
Basically for both, we chose a variety of the posed shots and the important shots (exchanging rings, leaving the ceremony, cutting the cake, first dance). The ones for my parents included pictures of me and them, DH and me with them, etc. We also included photos of relatives and friends invited to the wedding from their side of the family, and one photo of DHs family.
Hope this helps!
