i have a question about baby showers..

i have a question about baby showers..

who pays? i thought that both grandparents pay..but dh says that it would typically be my parents. I guess i dont want her to have to pay for all of this on her own..and mil isnt offering..i guess i just feel bad because i got pregnant so fast after the wedding and my mom paid for the bridal shower...the whole thing. but what is normally the situation..im new to this.. thanks!! and my mom doesnt mind at all..but i feel bad

I thought both sets pay, MAYBE your mother might pay more because you're her daughter but I would think it's split. Sorry I haven't had one yet.

I am in the same position!! I got pregnant so soon after the wedding that i feel guilty having my mom spend $$...SOO i told her to have it in the summer and plan a bbq at her house and that was fine for me. I know it'll still be $$ but hopefully not as bad as it could be. She said not to worry but she is still recovering from my bridal shower, lol!
