Small Queens reception sites?
Hi all! I'm planning on getting married in Forest Hills and looking for a reception site nearby so the guests don't have to travel hours from the church to the reception. i'm from long island and don't know much about queens. anyone have any ideas? i'm having a pretty small wedding with about 75 people and an even smaller budget. i'd rather a small inn-type place than a catering hall. caffe on the green might be perfect but some good friends already got married there. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for something similar to the Three Village Inn.

Haven't been there but I heard Cafe on the Green is very nice. It's in Bayside, Queens.

I was also going to suggest Cafe on the Green in Bayside, they have a room that would be good for you, and their food is very good.

It might be worth your while to go around the Forest Hills area with FH and look at restaurants with party rooms.

Re: Small Queens reception sites?
Hi,I looked at Caffe on the Green and thought it was great! My only concern is that the two rooms combined might be akward because it sort of becomes a U-shape.
Since you were at a wedding there can you tell me what it was like?
THANKS!

Try this website as well. It will give you a list of places along with how many people they accomodate and what type of food. It's a great tool and helps you narrow it down.http://www.weddingsitesandservices.com/
Good Luck!

I had my e-party at Caffe on the Green! Everything and everyone was great! They are also very reasonably priced and the food is out of this world. There's also Water's Edge in Long Island City, very pretty views of the city

We wanted something simple, so we just did a sit down dinner. I wanted it small, unfortunately thanks to my FMIL it was 100 people. We just used the smaller room, so there was no dancing. But everything was great!
