Anyone not wearing a tiara?

My hairdresser says me hair is so silky that it will just fall right out. Will just the veil be enough? What is everyone else doing? Hair clips? Thanks!

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

I am not going to do a tiara but I was thinking of doing hair pins or hair combs.

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

Im not wearing a tiara instead I am going to use 10 SWAROVSKI crystal hair pins.. They ar3 going to be my something borrowed along with the vail. My sister in law bought them for her wedding and she payed close to $1000 for the pins alone. I loved them the day of the wedding they were very classy so i figured why not.....?

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

I'm not wearing a tiara, it's just not my style. I'm trying to find a pretty clip or something to wear in the back of my hair, but if not it's still cool. You don't need a tiara or anything sparkly to look like a princess on your wedding day.

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

Either crystal hair pins or a comb or barette that will hold my half-up half-down hair up.

I wore a comb on top of my veil, she was able to have it stay with 2 bobby pins.

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

No tiara, no hair pins. Just a very relaxed and pretty low knot. And the veil.

Simple simple.

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

I'm not doing anything besides my veil. My veil is silk organza, and nothing looks right with it, so I've decided I'm just wearing it alone...

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

I'm not doing a tiara... my cathedral length veil will start from the middle of the top of my head (just before where my hair is put up) and then goes over my hair which will be all up on the top of my head in curls... the hair being that way will give it a nice lift and then in the back of my head once I take the big veil off after our first dance at the reception I had Denise Leli make me a 'crystal spray' to adorn my hair and the back of my head.
i have also seen this look of a spray or a clip worn on the side of the bride's head to accent her hair... (kinda like the pic i found of a fellow LIW bride, i saw her pics b/c she used the same photographer that i am using--she looked GREAT, i love the clip!!--see below!!)

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

I am wearing a comb (I think) or clips or nothing. I tried on tiaras and they just didn't look right with the way I wanted to have my veil and everything!

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

I actually hadn't thought about it. I don't see myself in a tiara... also, I don't see them in many bride magazines (or is it that i am just not looking for them). I like the simple look. I don't think you have to do a tiara.

I'm not wearing one either. So not my style - FH would die laughing if I wore one My veil is sparkly so I think that will suffice.

ETA: If I wear my hair down I may do a broach and have it like this:

Re: Anyone not wearing a tiara?

No tiara, no pins. MAYBE a flower or a beaded flower pin (if I can get them to come out nice- DIY).
Otherwise- just teh hair and the veil- just like this-
