Re: Registry Ideas

I was going to register at Fortunoff and Target because I love Target. I have decided against Target because I heard a lot of bad things about their registries so I just have Fortunoff and that is where I think I am going to stay. I found the service unbelievable and the selection was great as well and there prices are usually better than anyone else's when you add the bonus's and stuff they give you and if not they meet prices and sales so I am just going to stay there for now. Re: Registry Ideas

Out of everything you listed, I think that BB&B has the best overall, great selection of products in various price ranges, they have fine china and tabletop now, and their return policy and coupons are the best! They even accept competitor's coupons! You can also pick a second and maybe even a third location to give your guest's a lot of options.

We choose BB&B and Fortunoff (they carried the china and everyday dishes we wanted). I love Crate & Barrel too, but we felt that three registries were a little much for us.

Re: Registry Ideas

I registered at Fortunoff and Williams Sonoma. Honestly, i love W&S customer service. The other day i rec'd a 10 piece mixing bowl set and the littlest one had a crack in it, i called and they sent me a new set within 3 days, without me having to return it to the store or mail it back. I love them!

Re: Registry Ideas

We did Fortunoff (because my mom insisted - its a LI staple for registries, apparently.) BB&B because they also have it upstate where FH's family lives (not everyone likes to buy stuff online), and Williams-Sonoma because they have fun kitchen stuff you can't get at the other two stores.

Re: Registry Ideas

We did Fortunoff and Williams Sonoma. We picked Fortunoff because we got a coupon for a free martini bar at our wedding from them if we registered there.

I totally agree. BB&B was so helpful. DH and I HATED registering and this was the only place where we actually walked out smiling. They're extremely acccommodating and they are one of the only stores to give you cash back if you return something from your registry.

Re: Registry Ideas

We did BB&B & Fortunoff.

I had a friend who registered at LNT and she ended up with multiple items. Everyone had proof on their receipt showing it was purchased from her registry... It was comical watching her open 7 Roasting Pans, but a huge PITA for her to return all the duplicate items.

I love BB&B...not to mention the 20% off coupons that NEVER expire! The only reason we went over to Fortunoff too was for dishes that no one carried but Fortunoff. That's the ONLY item we registered from there.

Re: Registry Ideas

I think BB&B is where I'm leaning, as well as Fortunoff's (apparently it is an LI must!! haha). Williams Sonoma does have beautiful stuff! I want a variety so my guests won't have a hard time, you know?

Re: Registry Ideas

I'm registered at a bunch of places, Fortunoff, Macy's, BB&B, and JCPenney. However, there's barely any items on my fortunoff and Macy's so I'm going to narrow it down to 2 or 3.

How many registries is just too much?

Re: Registry Ideas

We haven't started yet, planning to in the comming months, but we've decided on BB&B and JC Penny because those two are in close proximity to all our US guests. I have no idea what I will do about my guests from Poland.
