garden city hotel

I looked into staying here for out wedding night and for the suite for your wedding night it was like $500. But when I checked online a regular king sized bed room was only $300.
if your staying here what room are you getting??

Re: garden city hotel

there's a hotel on Stewart Ave, east of the Garden City Hotel... about a half mile west of the Meadowbrook. I don't remember the name.... Good luck!

Re: garden city hotel

I stayed at the GCH the night before the wedding and the night of. I stayed in a one bedroom suite but only b/c i needed the extra space for getting ready in the morning with all the hair people, makeup people, photogs, family and BP.

But when DH and i went to look at the rooms at the GCH before booking, there was no reason not to just get a regular room with a king size bed. We thought there was no reason to get the 'wedding package' and pay the extra money for some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. By the time we got to the room we had already had enough food and champagne to last us a few days. We were exhausted!

Good luck in whatever you decide.

Re: garden city hotel

If you are registered at Fortunoff i think either the GCH or Wingate give you upgrades for your wedding night suites, wingate definately does I am not sure about GCH but they have some raffle at Fortunoff for the wedding suite the night of your wedding I filled it out when I registered.

Re: garden city hotel

FH and I will be getting a regular room there on our wedding night, for about $250. We have stayed there once before and felt that their regular rooms are nice and roomy enough and we could save the extra money we would have spent on their honeymoon suite for our actual honeymoon.

Re: garden city hotel

I stayed there the night of my first wedding (way back when)...we got a regular room & they left chocolate/champagne for us (I'm sure we paid for it), yet it wasn't anything special, if you find another hotel I'd definitely check it out
