Tuxedos - Do you think this would look funny?

We picked out tuxes yesterday and this is what we came out with...

FH - black tux with 3 button jacket and silver vest, tie, and hankie
GM - black tux with 2 button jacket and black vest with red tie and hankie.

It's the same color red as the BM's dresses. Do you think it would look funny that FH is COMPLETELY different the GM? If you have similar pics please post. TIA!

We selected tuxes right after x-mas. FH is wearing black bow tie & cummerbund, two BM are wearing burgundy bow tie & cummerbund to match girls, and GM are wearing burgundy tie & vest.

I want FH to stand out, but I also wanted the two BM to be different.

No I think it will be fine. Do you want FH to stand out a bit? If you do, I think what your doing is the look is what you want.

The groom should stand stand out. DH and the GM had the same tux, but DH wore an ivory vest and tie while the GM wore silver vests and ties.

Thats fine. Usually the groom does indeed stand out from his GM. And the fact that the GM are going to match the Bm's is great too!! I'm doing the same thing.

It sounds good.
When we went to pick out Tuxes I originally had all the guys wearing the same thing, but the lady told us the groom should have something different in order to stand out.

i think that FH was dressed differently than the groom in a wedding in August...so no, it won't look funny

I had DH in ivory vest and tie and I had the GM's in black vest and tie.

I think if you want to go red, do a red vest and red tie. JMO I like the vest and tie to match. I don't think it looks funny to do completely different colors.

Is your dress ivory? If it's ivory you're better off putting FH in ivory or a gold tone vest. If it's white, then the silver will look awesome.

sounds great, actually... the groom is supposed to be different from the GMs and stand out...
for ours, DH wore a black tux with light slver vest and tie, and the GMs wore like a beige/champagne color vest and tie and the dads were different, too--- they each had a dark silver vest and tie
so definitely think its ok and good to seperate the different people by having them wear something different
