went dress shopping today! (with pics)
So, I had my first official dress shopping outing today!
So, I went to two shops, this place called PRScilla in Huntington village, and Priscilla of Boston in Manhasset (the names are just a coincidence I swear).
The first shop was pretty much a disaster, she hardly had anything there and the woman just drove me nuts, she kept having me try on dresses I didn't even want to look at, and gave us the run around with every question we asked (although I don't know if she was doing that on purpose or if she just didn't understand us, she had a very thick accent.) Regardless of her, there wasn't even really anything I liked in the shop.
Priscilla of Boston, however, was a totally different experience. The girl there (Christine) was really sweet, she really got a sense for what I liked and figured out how to read my reactions and she didn't rush me at all. I loved almost every dress in the store, I must have tried on about 12 dresses and it was really hard to eliminate any. The only problem really was that their gowns are way more expensive than I was planning on, so I'm going to have to look around a bit more, and maybe talk to my parents and see what we can do.
With no further ado, here are a few of my favorites! They wouldn't let me take pictures in the store, so these are stock photos, but I just wanted to share because they are all so beautiful.

omg the 2nd & 3rd ones are so nice! & unique too!!!
I'm not that into the first, bit too lacey for me (sorry) but i thin k the others are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so unique!

And this is the jewelry I'm thinking about wearing, and the shoes that I want.
I know I'm way early on all of these things, and I am a bit worried that I will make all these decisions now and hate them later.... but really, I wouldn't want to wait until less than a year in advance anyway, and so much can change in a year that I might as well do it now as do it then!

ha, I love the look of the second one too, but the problem with it is that the top is basically completely solid! It actually just doesn't BEND at all! It felt so wierd to sit in or bend over in... It is beautiful though. So beautiful...

I love Priscilla of Boston! I haven't gone dress shopping yet, but I definitely plan on starting there. Have you looked at the Melissa Sweet line at POB? I LOVE her dresses. She has the all lace look too. And I think her dresses are less expensive. They are having a trunk show for her next weekend.
