Birthday ideas (not wedding related)

Hi - I'm coming to you with a non-wedding related issue, because you are all so creative! My FH is turning 30 in March. On my 30th he threw me a surprise party - in fact that's where and when he proposed to me!! I want to do something special for him too, with his friends, but he's already said he doesn't want a surprise party...any ideas please??????? Thanks so much in advance! :)

When is his b-day? If he's into sports, you can buy tix to a game. My friends bought tickets to Shea to see the METS last year for her fiance's 30th b-day and it was a great time and a huge surprise.

I actually just took my fiance away to the Bahamas for his 30th b-day. It was the greatest idea. With all the wedding craziness going on it was so nice to get away. We also went to a bar with some of his friends and had dinner with his family the week before so that he could celebrate with them too. Just spending time together (and not having to go to work) was such a great b-day surprise for him.

Depending on what he likes to do you could consider going away for a weekend to a warm place like Miami. My fiance and I went to Miami last March and it was great. It is not too expensive, and the beach is WARM. You rent lounge chairs for $8.00/day, can have dinner at a zillion places right on the beach. New Orleans is also great if you have never been there. Or you could have a bunch of family and friends meet you at a resturant and have a great birthday dinner.

If he like sports you can send him to a sports fantasy camp.

I love www.site59.com its last minute vacation deals (up to 3 weeks before) and the prices are great. I took FH to Colorado (where he proposed) for $300/each..air 4 star hotel (off season) and rental car...we had a great time. the deals are for weekends Thurs-tues...try it...its something you can surprise him with if you stay in the country or get hold of his passport...just tell him not to make any plans... good luck
