Passed down wedding gowns
Another post made me question, Is anyone wearing a wedding dress that has been passed down from your mother or other family member?

I had thought about it, since my mother had a popular dress, but I decided I wanted something of my own taste and she agreed and is making me my garter's and lace from my great-grandmother's dress to have with me.

I'm not wearing my moms dress, but I'm using the silk to tie around my bo-k.

my mom's dress is yellowed. it's not my style either but was very pretty

Moms dress was never preserved and it is 50 years old. It would have fit me just a little too big but it was such a classic style:
