Semi-repost: What color shoes with Cranberry BM dresses?

I tried posting this on theme weddings but did not get much response, so I hope you don't mind me posting it here.

I was just wondering from current and future brides what color shoe would you match with cranberry dresses? I was thinking black but my mom said something about being too much of a winter color...actually she made a face and then mentioned her reasoning.

Any recommendations welcome.

My girls are wearing cranberry dresses with black shoes.

You could possibly try silver or get them to get dyeables and have them dyed to match.

I originally told my girls silver. But a few of them were telling me they were having a hard time finding silver shoes they liked. (Don't ask me how when I'm not having any problems finding them!!)

So I told them to go with black shoes. Since the dresses are floor length, no one will really be able to see their shoes anyway, and I would rather they just be happy then worry about whether the color scheme matches the season.

Rules were meant to be broken.

Are the dresses long? If so I would use black, it isn't like anyone will really see the shoes.

IF you really don't want to use black you could use gold or silver.

I would say Gold or silver... but you can get away with black.

I would say silver (at least the girls can wear them again) or cranberry dyed to match.

We did black for my sis-in-law's wedding. Silver would be nice too but black is always a staple.

Silver would look nice with light pink.

i say gold with the cranberry...so elegant!
cranberry is a rich hue, so i think gold will compliment it better than silver

and silver with the light pink...

my girls wore black. nobody's shoes show up in any of the pictures. not even 1!

The dresses are floor length...so i doubt you will be seeing the shoes. I never thought about gold shoes. That might be nice. I guess I will just have to think about it for a little bit. Thanks for all your thoughts and ideas.

And for pink dresses, I would think silver shoes would look nice.
