Re: Loosing weight

Im going through the same thing. I used to weigh about 215 pounds. I lost about 70 pounds by the summer of 2004. It was an awesoem goal that took me about 2 1/2 years or so to attain. Since then I have been struggling to keep it off. Right now I am only about 6 or 7 pounds above what I was that summer but I still find it a daily battle. I get on the scale twice daily just to keep myself in check....when i wake and right b4 bed. If i get down or feel fat or am having a hard time i look at pics when i was heavy. That helps me remeber where i have come from. Once you start to see that progress it motivates you to keep going. Once you can get into clothes u would have never dreamed of before its amazing. I used to be a 16/18 and it was hard to find clothes in regular stores. Jutst to be able to go to the GAP and know the clothes will fit is great. Getting into the single digits was my dream. YOU CAN DO IT! Just keep at it......its hard and now about 4 years later i am still COUNTING POINTS!!! AHH!!! I attached some pics to help motivate you.

Re: Loosing weight

I am doing Jenny Craig and everyweek my lady asks me what my motivation is..I think it's good to keep in mind that from week-to-week. Of course my main goal is to be in the best shape by the time of the wedding, but this has been a constant struggle and I feel it's something I need to conquer.
If you any needs some motivation or words of encouragement, we're all here for you!!

<--- Since this picture I've lost 10 pounds and 9 inches! We all can do it!

I too relate to this.... I did Weight Watchers as well... starting at 197 pounds which is a lot weight when you're 5'4'.... I am now 166 and I've went down from a size 18 to a size 12. However, it's so hard... I am maintaining, but I am not losing anymore. technically, I still need to lose at least another 20 pounds... I am really going to try for the wedding.... but at the same it's so frustrating... I look at where I was, but then I'm like---I can't do it anymore. It's tough, but in the end, being healthy, and for me, more emoitionally secure and happy was important. Now, I just need to get back on it again... GOOD LUCK! you can do it... and believe me, there are fun ways to eat veggies. You learn to be creative!!

Re: Loosing weight

I have lost 23.5 lbs in a little over 2 months doing WW and drinking truckloads of water.

My motivation....I don't want to see dimples in my arms, armpit fat, or a double chin on my wedding pics.

I would hate for my grandchildren to look at my wedding pics and be like ''Oh....look at g-ma..she was all thickity thick thick,, and check out the junk in the trunk'...

Therefore...I refuse to be overweight for my wedding.
I demand of myself that I look and feel phenomenal...for myself, and for my health.

Re: Loosing weight

OMG......I have the same problem. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE food!!! I need to get in shape by next May. I know that I have a long way to go, but I still want to lose the weight for my Engagement Party and dress shopping. I'm going to put a picture of Jessica Simpson on my wall since I think she has a hot body and that'll be my inspiration!!! Hahahhaah....
