I'm just so upset right now! VENT

Without going into much detail, I'm sitting at work crying like a freakin baby!

I have 2 incredible parents who obviously love me unconditionally, but I feel like a such a selfish person right now. My mom has done so much planning for my wedding, along with my sisters since I'm in GA and getting married in NY. It has gotten to the point, where she has gotten herself sick again (intestinal problems, etc) b/c she wants everything to be perfect for my wedding and all the guests. I'm not asking her for any of this, but she just does it b/c she is such a wonderful person. It just upsets me so much b/c I didn't know anything about it ( her being sick) until my sister told me. Now I just feel like it's all my fault, b/c it's my wedding.

I've been an emotional wreck lately with the wedding being so close, and this is just the topper on the cake! I'm going to call her tonight and tell her that we're not doing the things that she wanted to do before the wedding (things for the OOT guests). I can't stand that she's sick over this stuff, but she so da*n stubborn!

Sorry about this vent ladies. I know I sound like a child, but there's noone here for me to talk to and I guess I just needed to get it out. Thanks!

My mom TOO has gone above and beyond. I hate to say this, but she doesn't want to tell you because she wants your day to be magical no matter what and will sacrafice like any mother would to make it that way.

I think you should tell her how much you appreciate her. Maybe get her a g.c. to a spa or something...but don't be surprised if she tells you that she is STILL doing what she wants to do because she wants it to be perfect for you!

I agree with Leese. She does it b/c she wants to, not b/c you asked it. I know you're upset, and it's hard not to feel 'guilty' about it. Call her up and talk to her and let her know that her health is more important to herself and to you and your family. The wedding will be amazing no matter what b/c of her.

It sounds hard, but tell her not to stress and that you know that it'll be perfect regardless and don't want to jeopardize her health. I agree with the ladies though, you are blessed and have a wonderful mom who's doing this because she loves you and wants a dream wedding for her baby...nothing for you to feel guilty about since you sound grateful.

Have mom take some time to do things to 'de-stress' since planning is very hard and I'm sure she forgets 'her time'.

And I know the feeling you have since I planned completely alone due to the opposite problem. I was here in NY but my whole family was in GA. It was hard...but sooo worth it.

And I'm GA bound next month...first time living there!!
