DIY Card Box

Card holder instructions: Page me if you have any questions!
You will need: stackable card boxes (I got stackable cardbord boxes from JoAnn's, they came in a set of 3.) colored wrapping paper, wired ribbon, a box knife, tape.

Stack the boxes on top of one another and draw around the base of the boxes (onto the lid of the box it sits on), then cut a square hole on the lids, of the bottom and middle boxes, about 1 inch in from this line. You must also cut a hole 1 inch in on the bottom of each box (top and middle boxes). This makes it so when you put a card in the slot the card goes all the way down. And cut a rectangle slot in the top box, for the cards to be inserted in.

Then wrapped each lid and bottom separately as if it were a present. Where you have cut holes in each box, wrapped over, then cut an X from corner to corner of the hole. Fold the now triangle piece of wrapping paper inside the box to give it a finished look.

Put the lids back on, and restacked the boxes lining up the holes again. Tape the inside of each lid to the coorospnding bottom box to keep them together.

Use wired ribbon and wrapped it around and place your monogram letter on (the large size iron on ones, but they are also sticky so I just stuck it) to give it a finished look.

Hopefully this makes sense... sorry it's harder to explain than it is to do it. The hardest part is cutting the holes to match up. Make sure that you don't cut too big of holes so they show when you stack them, and not too small so that the cards can't get through.

JoAnn's also had round shaped stackable boxes, that you could use and make it look like a cake which would be cute. It would be harder to wrap though. GL! HTH!!! Page me with any questions!!!
