Cruise/Italy/Greece help

Hey girls! We are planning on going on a mediterranean cruise this June. Not our honeymoon, but maybe you all could help anyway!
I was wondering if anyone has been on a med. cruise before and can help me decide which ports I should sign up for the cruise-ship excursions, and which would be easiest/closets enough to sight-see on our own.

Our ports of call:
Departs from Rome (getting there a day early)
Monte Carlo, Monaco
Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Italy
Naples/Capri, Italy
Santorini, Greece
Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Mykonos, Greece
Athens (Piraeus), Greece
Katakolon (Olympia), Greece
Corfu, Greece
Venice, Italy (Staying there an extra day before we come home)

we are going on a similar cruise for our HM in July- and we are def. taking an excursion in turkey, and athens not sure which one though, its at home...

Julz, we're doing a Mediterranean cruise also & ours goes to Venice, Monte Carlo, Florence, Naples, Croatia, Barcelona, leaving from Rome & Sicily.

You should definitely check this site out there is a wealth of info & you may even find people on YOUR actual cruise, definitely good tips though

FH & I were hesitant to book tours on our own but other people on our cruise from the boards set up their own tours w/ reputable people & we're saving hundreds of dollars & taking the same tours, just with 12 people instead of 75.
