Workout Advice

Hey girls. Now that I have the dress I need to get my butt in gear in terms of exercising. Since my dress is strapless I need to pay special attention to my arms, shoulders, and back. Anyone have any suggestions on specific exercises I should do and how often? I need to lose weight in these areas, while also toning. I don't have a gym membership so everything I have to do is with free weights.

Thanks for your help ladies!

Re: Workout Advice

You can do push-ups. Dips for triceps. Also, you can use cans, bottles of water for weight. You could also buy those bands with handles.

Re: Workout Advice

I used a set of heavy hands while on the treadmill and made sure I exaggerated the 'pump' while power walking. HTH - Good Luck!

Re: Workout Advice

I joined a pilates course through continuing ed in my school district for toning. You can always get some videos to exercise to.

Oh, and if your FH has a playstation 2 system, buy Kinetics. It's like a video, but you do tai-bo and the game will tell you if you are doing it correctly and how fast you are jabbing your arms out, etc. My friend just received it from her FH and loves it!

Re: Workout Advice

It's like $30 but the body bar is awesome. I use it at my gym. You can do chest presses, tricep exercises, bicep curls.

Those are great, we use the same ones as well!

I've been going to strength and body conditioning classes at my gym. It's helped me get my butt in gear and my arms are getting toned.
