girls that go to tanning salons.......

I tan very easily.....but when i go to the beach to tan i usually put 30 protection on my face and 15 on my body and then put tanning oil over for the tanning.

How do I protect myself if I go to a tanning salon?

The few times i have gone, you can buy cream to put on your skin for protection, you apply before you go in the booth

I have been going tanning. My daily moisturizer has spf 15 in it and I am very fair...so i just leave it on and i haven't burned yet...I am gradually getting color.

FH went without any protection and he has a pretty dark complexion and he got a nasty burn...I would rather do it the slow way myself :)

I want to go to Beach Bum in East Meadow.....do you suggest I buy their protection and tan 2 or 3 times weekly for the next month.....my wedding is April 30th

Also....I want to tan evenly back and front...do i do one day front and one day back?

Ask them at the desk for a lotion that has sunscreen in it....

I go once every other week. I go to perfect color in Massapequa. I tan very easily. I go into the starship for 8 minutes with Sun Dreams tanner. I dont use SPF in the tanning booths (I rarely burn)

If you do a stand-up booth then you are totally surrounded by bulbs so you shouldn't have to turn. If you do a lie-down bed then the rays are typically stronger above you since your body isn't touching the glass. (Your back makes direct contact with the bottom plexi glass of the bed, so those can't be as strong.)

That said, I don't think you should have to alternate face-up or face-down in the bed, although I do recommend turning on each side from time to time.
