out of town stepmom

anyone have issues with step parents? My stepmother is very sensitive but is also not well liked by many. She feels the need to be Very involved and wants to even take the TRAIN from Az. to help me plan, ie dress shopping and registerring. She says she wants me to register for practical things and will be able to show me the RIGHT stuff to get. I thought my FH and I would do that together not with Her???
I do not want to make my dad's life unhappy so I have to humor her a little but She can be very controlling! How do I let her know her boundaries without being too harsh?

You do not have to be harsh you just have to tell her straight out that there will be things that you may want help with and there will be things that you want to do with your FH. Dont hold back!!
