i just did mine with under two weeks to go. i'd say that is the latest.

but i would def. shop around to find the best price and watch out for delivery.

Considering my baker said he only needed a couple weeks notice for my wedding cake...that should be enough time for a grooms cake.

We ordered it when we ordered the bride's cake, just so she was aware that we were getting both of them from her. But, we don't have to decide what's going to be on it until like April 1st.
