Re: Poll-Trial in 2 hours which hair style??

you have to get what YOU want. Don't let ANYONE talk you into ANYTHING. You're the one that will see the pictures for the rest of your life... do what you want to do!

I personally am getting 1/2 up/ 12 down myself. I think I look different with it all up, and I want to look like myself (just more dolled up) on my wedding day! I never wear my hair all up, so why start on my wedding day? lol

Re: Poll-Trial in 2 hours which hair style??

Can you try both at this trial?
If you can't try half-up half-down b/c you haven't seen your hair that way yet, right?

Re: Poll-Trial in 2 hours which hair style??

You should definitely get what YOU want - in addition, I asked my FH what he liked, too since I want him to look and me and think 'WOW'. I personally don't like updos at all - they look too fussy and they're just not ME, so you need to pick something that's YOU. Hope you find a stylist that will do what you want!

That's why i'm not doing it. I'm wearing mine all up b/c my hair is very straight and I don't want to have to worry about the curls coming out. Also if it's very windy or humid I wouldn't want it to look messy (we're doing pics at the beach and having an outdoor ceremony).

BUT, at your trial ask to try both. Do the half up and then have her put it all up... then decide.

I have very fine straight hair so I'm adding extensions so even if the curls droop toward the end I'll have beautiful straight hair in my pics, almost like getting 2 different styles! I plan on asking the stylist at my trial about it, too. I figure they deal with it EVERY DAY and they'll know how to do it so it lasts. I'm sure they deal with it all the time. Just my thoughts

Re: Poll-Trial in 2 hours which hair style??

Well..I'm set to ask for both and I have pics of both! (The last stylist did say she would need to add extensions..even though my hair is past my shoulders)

Today, I am going to 'Who Does Your Hair' in Bellmore on Merrick Rd...recommended by LIW (Thanks girls!)

I have very fine straight hair and when I get a do with curls it usually doesn't last long. A few hours later they are all coming apart.
Use lots of hair spray and gel, it will help
And hunny get your hair however YOU want! don't let any hairstylist talk you into anything you don't want! Good luck and post pics!!!
XOXOXO
Kitty

Re: Poll-Trial in 2 hours which hair style??

I'm having my hair half-up half-down and my trial was about the same time she will do my hair day of..everything lasted great until around 11 or so at night (my wedding is over at midnight)..I still had waves but very loose. I actually loved the way it looked both ways (I would love to have loose waves all day but I know they wouldn't stay) so it's not a problem for me. She also said that she could do the curls much more tight if I wanted day of and they would last longer that way...hth!

Re: Poll-Trial in 2 hours which hair style??

I have very fine, silky hair. My hair don't hold curls for more than 1 hour. If you look in my album, you can see my hair with extensions (had to!!!!) 6 hours later. She will put more spray to keep it even longer. I am going half-up. FH likes my hair 'long'.
