i need your opinion

Hi,

Yesterday I went to see Music by Michael (a DJ) and fell in love with his services. I really want to book him. The only problem is I also love the videographer at DanceJock productions (another DJ). I want to book DanceJock for just video and use Music by Michael for my DJ. Do you think that this would cause hard feelings at Dancejock seeing how DJing is their primary business? I really don't see a big problem with this whole situation, but my fiance thinks it could be a potential one. He doesn't want to insult Dancejock and have them take it out on the quality of our video. I feel that its the same thing as hiring a photographer, but getting the video elsewhere-which many couples do. What do you guys think?

I'm sure any business is happy with something rather than nothing. I would book the videographer, and no worry about sentiments for the DJ.

The djs might take it personally. People are very sensitive about rejection. I would definitely really feel it out. You never know how people are.

Dance Jock might not want to book just video-they might want to wait and offer it to someone who books their DJ services. Photographers sometimes do this, I don't know if DJs do too though.

I say at least try it. you don't want any regrets or 'what i should have dones' on or after your big day
