UPDATE!!!KENNETH POOL BRIDES..HELP!! URGENT..SOOOO MAD ABOUT MY FIRST DRESS FITTING!!!
so besides the store which i won't name, telling me that my dress was in and then calling me back 2 months later and telling me its not in..now got my dress in...you would think i should be happy i was until i received a phone call right now from the owner and she said" hi, it blah blah and im calling because i doon't want you to be disapointed when you come in tomoorw but your dress is in..and thte bad news is the BEADING on the dress was not done yet...the dress will have no beads on it and its just an ivory plain dress....we will send it back the same day and they will spend some time doing the beading".."so basicallly to make me hapy she then says.."this way its a more custom fit for you"...what B.S......im so upset...i so badly hate dealing with this people....when i finalyy get this dress and all the problems i've had with the bridesmaids dress also i will tell them i will never recommend them to anyone!!!
I WENT TODAY AND EVERYTHING TURNED OUT OK...THEY LET ME TALK TO KENNETH POOL PERSONALLY AND HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME....I TOLD HIM I WAS SCARED IT WAS NOT GOING TO BE MY DRESS AND SO HE SAID HE WILL PERSONALLY BRING THE DRESS TO ME AND BE THERE THE NEXT TIME THEY FIT ME...WHICH IS NEXT WEEK!!!IM SO HAPPY...I WAS SO SCARED!!! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP GUYS!!

I'd demand my money back if I were you - if the beading isn't done than the product they are trying to give you is not your gown. They owe you big time for this - how do they propose the beading will get done?

i really confused...the dress is kenneth pool or amsale and they said hat all the beading is done by hand..personallly i really hope that they aren't messing with me...that would be so dispointing! WHAT DO I SAY ?

they said that its all done in stages and we just wanted to get you fitted once before the beads go on?..is this commen?

Why don't you call the designer to find out if that's their normal process.

what?! no way....designers don't send their dresses to you in "stages"!!! I am so pissed off FOR YOU right now - that is just so unprofessional of them to send you a gown that isn't even finished...the nerve!

I have never heard of a dress being sent in stages either. To be honest something doesn't sound right - you definatly have to call the manufacturer yourself and find out the deal.

i'm so sorry to hear about this! your dress is gorgeous and i would figure since you are paying so much money for a dress from a salon reputable enough to even carry these dresses, that they would be a little bit more professional in their dealings! i'ts bad enough they have the dress w/out the beading but hte BS excuses just make ppl's blood boil to hear. atleast be straightforward! i hope you dont' stress too much. just think in the end you will have a gorgeous dress that you will look great in!!!!!

Unless your gown was being custom made and you had specific appointements/fittings w/ the DESIGNER your gown should absolutely NOT have been shipped without the beading - I know it's "Kenneth Poole for Amasle......" But have to you tried to contact the Amsale boutique directly ? Could they possibly shed some light on the situation ? I know it's located in Manhattan, I just can not remember where ..........Madison or 5th Ave.
For that name and price.........My gown was a Yolanda Coutrue, hand beaded - EVERY single bead was in place when the gown arrived. My friend had an Amsale gown, a button was missing when it arrived and it was sent back to Amsale for a BUTTON - Your gown should NOT be without all of the intircate beading
ETA I CAN NOT wait to see the pics of your wedding b/c that gown is AMAZING !!!!!!

i can't believe that happened! i have been dying to see the pics of your fitting!!! your dress is so pretty!
i have never heard of a dress being shipped without beading before. But don't panic! i'm sure there is some logical explanation for this, and maybe that is the way the beading actually does get done sometimes? the dress is beautiful, and your salon has a good reputation, so have faith that it will all work out! You will be a gorgeous bride ! In the meantime, i would suggest hounding the salon until you get an explanation that is appropriate.

I'm sorry you are going through this but it sounds like BS.
I would contact the designer directly by phone and ask them if this is standard procedure (which I doubt it is.) Then I would demand a refund of the alterations cost and take it elsewhere to be altered!!!

i have never heard of the dress comming in without the beading. did you change your order somehow.
the beading is usually done over seas that is alot of beading to be done in one week.
i hope they make good on there word.

Sorry to hear about your dress....I love Kenneth Pool...I almost got his dress too (I tried yours on)..I met him at the Wedding Salon...nice skinny guy....
anyway...certain designers do dresses in stages...I know it for a fact because Reem Acra (my designer does that...Kenneth worked at Reem before he started his own label and I guess does the same.....
My dress is made in the US but the beading work is hand made in India and then put on the dress.....don't worry it will be beautiful...I am just surprised that they called you before the dress was completed.....
