Quick question for girls living with FH?
I've been living with FH for about 3 years now. Mostly everything we have has been passed down to us from others. So, I had my shower last month and I have all these gifts in my living room right now just taking up space.
Did any of you use any of your registries before the wedding? Did you just keep them all in boxes until after the wedding? Plus, after the wedding and HM, when did you actually find time to put everything away and get all settled?
Is it bad luck to put things away/use them now?
What to do, what to do, what to do?

We live together and I actually don't plan to use any fo the new stuff we get (for th emost part) utnil we move into our first house. we ar ein a condo now but plan to start looking after teh wedding...

I used everything from my shower, with the exception of a few things that are seasonal and meant for other times of the year. Other than that, I opened everything, washed what needed to be washed and put it all to good use immediately!

I didn't have a shower because we bought a home and had a housewarming and I still had all the new stuff in the basement.,.....
BUT.....I would start putting things away now and using them..JMO

Same here. We will wait until we move into a home before we use the new items; but where are we going to store it? Good questions, I guess I'll know when that time comes.

Since it'll only be 2 months till the wedding, we'll probably wait until we're married. We've been living together for about 9 months so we have a lot, but still need a lot!
We'll probably break out the chocolate fountain, blender, etc before the wedding, but our casual dinnerware and stuff like that we'll wait to use.

I haven't had my shower yet, but I def. plan on using the gifts when I get them. I am sure people don't expect you to put them away till your married, that would be a waste! Use them, ENJOY!!!

My shower is not until next month, but then again so is the wedding. We're not buying a house anytime soon, so we will probably just use what we can before the wedding.

I've only used a few of the gifts we got as engagement presents.
All other e-gifts and shower gifts I will save until we move into a house (hopefully in the fall).
It's all piled up in my kitchen so far.

We received a lot of things for our E-party from our registry. Most are in the spare room in boxes. The only reason being I don't have time to rearrange our kitchen to accomodate the new stuff!

Im not using anything-- Its being sent to my parents house. We are getting married in August and our lease is up in November-- so im going to wait and keep everything in boxes so it is easier to move

We have matching living rooms! 
There is so much stuff in our living room that I need to put away immediately. We will definitely use the new stuff when needed.
