Tipping Question

Hey ladies,

I just was trying to go over my budget last night and I was trying to figure in the tips. I am not exactly positive who gets tipped and how much. I know I have to tip the maitre d', the photographer, and videographer (but I don't know how much), but I am not sure who else. Help

I'm not sure about the photographer/videographer, but I know generally for maitre d's it's between $3-5/per guest. If you have a bridal attendant use your discretion - usually $50 - $100.

I wasn't planning on paying my phto and video guy... are you supposed to? I figure I am paying them to do video and photos which is their JOB. Tipping wait staff is thanking them for going above and beyond... what do you ladies think?

I was not planning on tipping the wait staff because I thought that was what the 18% went to.

Oh my goodness, if I have to tip 40-50 people that are serving, I am going to go broke! If our guests want to tip the staff, then that is their decision, but I was not planning on tipping them. Maybe I am wrong. Please tell me if I am!

I heard from someone that you tip the photo & video people, but I don't know. If I don't have to do that, you will see one very happy bride!!!
