Help! Hair/Veil
I have a mantilla veil (I don't even know how to spell it, let alone how it will look on my head. I just picked it because it will be made with the same lace from my dress--- Any photos or ideas with hairstyles incorporating the mantilla? I plan to only wear it for the ceremony & would love my hair 1/2 up 1/2 down or all down & curly! Thanks!

Do you have a blusher?I have a mantilla but it has a blusher, and I'm weiaring my hair half-up/half-down.
I will not be wearing the veil for the reception.

I do not have a blusher-- will it add more height. In your hair pic, is that the blusher on top?

Yes, the blusher is on top.
Here is another pic of mantilla veil w/out blusher:

Re: Help! Hair/Veil
That last picture is beautiful and ideally what I am looking for. Your hair is 1/2 and 1/2, right? Also, how is it anchored at the top of your head, a comb? It almost gives the blusher effect because it is in front of your face?
I apologize for all of the questions, I am just really confused--

Don't apologize for the questions! That's why we're all here!
Yes, my hair is half up/half down. The veil is anchored in with a comb. However,if you are not using a blusher or a comb, the veil can stay in your hair with a bobby pin or a clip. Your hair stylist will take care of that for you.
In regards to the last picture, it doesn't look like the bride had anything holding the veil in place, but I'm sure there was something like a pin to at least prevent it from flying off.

But her veil is over her face! I am so confused. My mantilla looks like it has a wider opening than hers. (kind of like yours, hanging up).I just like the effect of hers... bc it does the job of the blusher (covering face) and still looks good with the hair.

My friend Kristine recently got married and she had her hair half up half down with BIG dramatic/romantic curls and it looked fantastic!

Yes, she pulled the veil over her face for it to act like a blusher. You can also do this with your veil, and just have your stylist pin it to keep it in place. When you get to the altar, you can just flip it back.

Thanks for the pic- I think mine is more like that than the other pic posted, although I like how the other one covered her face..I have some research to do with my designer.
