Will it look bad to have my dress ivory and my FG dress white?

My FG is my little cousin, and she was a FG for one of my other cousins in November of 2004. Amazingly, her dress still fits her and they want to use it for my wedding and put a pink sash on it. It's white though. Is that a problem? They don't want to buy another dress and that is fine with me. Will it look bad in pics though?

....its up to you maybe when you go for a fitting see if the FG can come with you and wear the dress and see what you think

I think that it'll look fine. It's your day and the worst that can happen is that the both of you look like you're in white

I agree....depending on the ivory it might look darker next to the white.

I guess it depends on how ivory your dress is. You could hold the two next to each other to see how it looks. Strange idea but, what about an ivory sash intead to tie in your dress. You may have to test that out now to see if it works.

She's in MA, and my dress is in NY so that won't work. Hopefully it will look okay. My dress is in my profile. It isn't too dark, I don't think...

Why don't you put an Ivory sash in stead of pink?

Oh, I just read online that FG dresses are hard to dye, with all the syntietic fabric and ribbon or lace.

At my sister's friends wedding I'm pretty sure the bride's dress was white and my niece(flower girl) was ivory. Here are some pics of the dresses next to each other - the color looks a little different but not bad at all.

It will look fine, my sister had a champagne dress and the flowe girl had a white dress with purple sash and petals in the inseam. The pictures look fine with just the two of them.

Thanks girls! One more question: what color shirt should my RB get: white or ivory. Ivory would match the GMs but white would match the FG.

I am in the same situation that you are in. FG (FH's niec) is in another aunt's wedding in June so we are not asking her to have another dress. I have a dark ivory dress and hers is white. I am thinking about doing an ivory sach or white/ivory hair accessory (like a flower crowned or something like that).
