UGH.. so on my 99th day and two days till my bday...

My effing car DIES just as I am about to turn onto the northern state. I must have backed up traffic for miles and miles. Two cop cars came and they couldnt even get my car into gear to move it to the side of the road. So my dad FINALLY gets there after sitting in the traffic I caused. He was with his car pooling buddies and one of them did some trick with a screw driver and they were able to push it to the side of the road.

It was sooooo warm out and people were yelling and honking at me like crazy people.

Now I have to get it towed back out here which is probably going to cost a fortune and then get the problem fixed.

I think it is the alternator but I am completely bummed. This car just needed to last me until after the wedding because I am LONGGGG over due.

Im so sad and I just want to crawl in a hole. It may not seem like a big deal, but I have been dealing with my PIECE of C RAP car for 3 years and I just cant take it anymore. Now I feel unsafe.

We finally got ahead with saving for the wedding and who knows how much this is all going to cost.

Oh, man! That stinks, but don't let those impatient @ssholes ruin your day! Now, as for a car, there's many dealers that do like no money down & $99/month kind of things, would that be possible to swing right now for you so you can be safe?

Oh Jenn...i totally feel your pain. We had just made a lot of progress in saving for the wedding/honeymoon, when last Friday I went to get into the car and SOMEONE HIT OUR CAR WHILE IT WAS PARKED!

I was so mad......it cost $1200 to fix....and that totally hurt our savings.

first of all, yay for us---double digits!!!

and ugh...car problems stink :( i hope you can get it fixed cheap!

i just went through this 2 weeks ago when my car died on me...maybe its bad car luck time for 7/7/06ers??? i had to buy a new car and my fi actually ended up getting one too, bc his was on its way out also and we got a good deal on 2 new/cheap hyundais. ~lacey

is it the alternator that works with the battery??? or is that the carborator?? I am cluesless with cars...well if it's the one that helps the battery then it is about 300 bucks..had it done a few months back...
