DIY Easy Tip - For all the girls doing votive placecards!!
I practiced yesterday on few votive placards and was surprised how easy it is to do them!!!!
I bought Easy Peel Clear Mailing Labels - (Avery 8663) and they were the easiest thing to print and put on the votives.
They are clear with a little frost and look just like vellum paper......all you do it print (you download the template from avery.com ) and voila!! it takes about 10 seconds to make one.....and they look great!!!!
Just wanted to share this easy tip with you girls!!!

Where did you find these labels b/c I been to Staples/Walmart/Office Max & all I can find are the boring ugly white labels.

You are welcome!! I ordered my votives from cudge.com so I think we have the same ones (the frosted ones)...they really look nice and take about 10 sec to peel off and put on the candle!!!!!

I went to the Staples by me, and they didn't have them in stock. But Staples.com has them. They're $25 for a package of 250 labels...
I went on ebay, and found them for $14 from this seller:

They don't go all the way around though...but it's fine b/c the labels are frosted, and so are the votives.

I did labels on candles instead of vellum too. I bought the labels on ebay and printed right on them. i havent put them on the candles yet. Oh and I got the frosted labels, not candles

Unfortunately you can see bubbles with these labels. If you're anal retentive about things like this, I wouldn't recm'd it. However, I think it's easy, cheap, and not as time-consuming as the vellum route.

sorry to crash your thread, but I was wondering if anyone has tried the votive candle "labels" they sell at Michaels? They come on a sheet, like three to a sheet I think, and you can print right on them and they are custom shaped with a curve for the votive
I am going to be using votives and am dreading having to go the vellum route

Oh great thanks so much. I just ordered the votive holders from cudge.net (the frosted ones) and I was almost thinking why did I do this it's seems like so much work. I am going to use the labels.
