Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

Ladies....

Just got home from my airbrush trial...
Please check out my album and let me know what you think.... honestly!!!
Makeup Trial

I usually do my own makeup very nicely on its own, so I'm sort of torn if this is 'special enough' or dramatic enough.... thoughts? I sort of want my eyes to pop more, which she said can be achieved the day of....

forgive my bad hair! :)

There are pictures of my mom's trial in the album, too, and I think I really like her eyes better than mine... hmmm....

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

Hi,
looked at these pics and pics in your album---i could be totally wrong--and it's all up to you...but since you asked opinions......

i think the purple around your eyes might not quite flatter your skintone. the same goes with the lipstick--i think it might be a bit too much for the pics. the deep color in your lips may take away from the rest of your face--or even your dress! i think there could be a better way for the makeup artist to make your eyes & lips 'pop' without such deep hues. the cheeks seem a bit too dark also. i think you have such fair skin--that your make-up has to compliment this.

i hope you don't take any of this the wrong way--but i was just giving my honest opinion.

I tend to agree with this. especially since you are getting married in the fall you may want to try warmer colors. JMO...HTH!

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

I'm not a fan of the purple either. I do however like the lips. I think you should go with more nuetral colors on your eyes, like some light browns etc. I think she over did your cheeks a bit. Could be the pics. Hope your not offended. I would want my fellow brides to be honest with me as well. By the way, you have a gorgeous smile!!

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

who was it with? Have you tried Oksana? A lot of people have used her... she's holding my date for me, but I can't wait for my trial with her!

Also, Denise from Angel Eyes is highly recommended on these boards.

I tend to agree with the other girls... you're a very pretty girl and I don't think the colors they used flattered you as much as a more natural approach would. I've already been to two girls for trials, and it just seems no one can do what I want. I'm sure Oksana will get it right!

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

When I do my own makeup, I tend to use shades like she used on my mom's eyeshadow (which I happen to really like) ... I want to see if this stays on all day, like it's allegedly supposed to....

thanks for the honest comments! keep 'em coming

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

I am agreeing with all the rest. I was hoping I wasn't going to be the only one w/this opinion but I would definatly look into having some one else give you a trial.
The colors are way off for you.

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

I think you should ask for 'natural' colors. I find then to be very flatering for most people. It's 'hard' to wear color eye shadow.

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

i asked for natural colors, warm bronzes for the eyes... and she was insistent that i need something lighter to brighten my eyes.... in person it actually looks OK, not as bad as i'm getting the feeling that you all think it looks.... but i want it to look WOW, and i have yet to have a trial that looks like that.... SO disappointing :(

Re: Makeup trial - with pics -- opinions

I don't think it looks 'bad'--your skin looks fab, but they can do better on your eyes.....more 'wow' like you said!!!!!! Don't worry, you will find the right makeup!

I don't think it looks bad, but I agree with your own assessment that it isn't special or dramatic enough. Your eyes definitely don't 'pop'.

It does not look 'bad' and you do have a great looking skin. I just thought 'natural'/warmer color would probably look a bit better on you. You can go WOW with natural color. You don't have to have a lot of make-up or 'colors' to do it.
