groom and groomsmen tuxes... opinions plz!

groom and groomsmen tuxes... opinions plz!

Do the groom and groomsmen wear the same or different tuxes? I mean the jacket and pants not the vest/tie... the groom will be wearing white vest/tie and the groomsmen, silver vest/tie. We went to Tuxedo Park in Carle Place (love them!), there were these 2 tuxes that were the same style, 1 was a ralph lauren, it's $50 more, fits nicer and feels softer... fh is renting that tux. The other tux looks exactly the same, except it's not as soft and the fit is not as sharp... should the groomsmen get the cheaper tux or the same as fh?

The groomsmen don't mind paying more for the tuxes but someone told me that the groomsmen HAS to wear a not as nice tux or different tux? Bc the groom has to look the best? Fh and I want the groomsment to look and feel good too. I'm confused!

Is anybody else having the groom and groomsmen wear the exact same tux jacket?

I believe ours will all be in the same tuxes. I've never heard of this. The only time i think it applies is if the groom has a really nice tux of his own.

I never notice differences in the tuxes just the vest/tie.

My FH is wearing a different tux- he really loved the ralph lauren pinstriped one. The GM are wearing a plain black tux.

This is the one FH is wearing. I don't have a pic of the one for the guys, but its a regular black tux.

The same here too..... but something to think about. Althougth they look exactly the same, different fibers photgraph differently. One may have a different sheen to it than the others. Something to take into consideration.

Our GM tuxes are slightly different from FH, and a little bit less in price, Fh will be doing the white vest and tie, and GM will be dong black vests with a striped yet understated tie. Black tuxes for all.

Our guys are wearing the same tuxes (pants and jacket). The only time I have seen a groom in a completely different tux is when he wears a white dinner jacket (instead of standard black), or he owns his own already, or the groom chooses to wear tails and the guys wear regular jackets.

we will have ours the same i think...

FH was the best man last august..they wore the same tux, but the groom's vest/tie was a different color than the rest of the bridal party/dads.

funny we went to tuxedo park too. FH will be wearing a black tux with black stripes, black on black a Tallia suit that comes to $235 for rental including shirt tie, vest, cufflinks, shoes. The groomsmen are just wearing plain black tuxes, i wanted fh to look a little different, i mean he is the one getting married! FH will wear white vest and tie too! (did you meet with Rick??) and his groomsme will be wearing champagne vest and tie. I like the difference, I want him to look special.

FI and groomsmen are wearing the same tux just different vest and ties. I think it is personal prefrence.

I tried talking him into buying a nice tux but he said he would just rent. I figure I get to keep my dress why not have him keep his tux.

Anyway, FH will be wearing a completely different Tux, Vest & Tie, his is a more high end line, than the GMs.

Hey I get to wear a beautiful white gown, completely different than my BMs I want FH to stand out as well. After all it’s his wedding too.

FH is going to wear a tux on the higher end, it is also a light weight tux and has light pin stripes. Completely different than his Gm's..
