Re: NWR: Special ed teachers....
i do speech therapy in a school... and yup, the annual reviews DEFNITELY are killing me!!! and, in my district, for the kids that just get articulation therapy ( like for a lisp or whatever), the speech therapists have to do all the work to set up the meeting, too- calling the parents, sending out the forms to say that they'll be at the meeting, etc etc.... its not just updating goals.... i'm going crazy!!! thank god i hve next week off and i don't have to think about them!

I sat in 4 meetings in a row this morning, on the hour every hour from 8am- noon. I work with 8th grade so we have to deal with the transition to high school as well. I am ready for a 'sick' day!

I live in NC now and our annual reviews occur all year long..... isn't that weird?? I know I am not crunched at the end like I used to be in NY, but it ***** to have to deal with them from August all the way through May!I actually have an annual review tomorrow...I am off to write the IEP right now!

I teach special ed in a non-public day treatment center. My IEPS are cake and my ed-evals are done. Iti s simply boring and tedious.

My annual reviews occur all year long too, which I LOVE compared to having them all at the same time.....I remember when I had 7 meetings in a row one day I wanted to puke afterwards!! Definitely like it better scattered throughout!
