The b-party should be planned by the bridal party, with everyone that is invited paying their own way and all involved collectively paying for the bride.

It depends what you do. Some brides participate in the $$ if it's an OOT event.

I believe your BM/bridal party organizes it.

we went to ac for the weekend and i paid for my part of the hotel but the girls paid for everything else...

My BP and I talked about what to do: I just wanted dinner & drinks; I knew the chef at the place we went to, so I planned the menu and the wine selection with him, and then the girls paid for my dinner and drinks. Very simple party for me!

I planned my sister's when she got married (I was the MOH). I paid for the limo and dinner (it was a catered dinner at our house) and everyone paid for their own cover charges/drinks during the night.

I usually expect to pay for a portion of the limo when I go to a bachelorette party, though.

I think it's standard for the BMs to plan it, and for everyone attending to split the cost. With that in mind, it's always nice when the BMs either try to keep costs down or offer to pay a little extra. I went to a bachelorette party once where the MOH asked for everyone to pay $250 for the limo AND wanted everyone to pay another $200 for the hotel rooms. She rented a 24 passenger Escalade limo (there were only 10 of us) and wanted to stay at some really swanky hotel. If one of the other BMs hadn't stepped in and asked her to lower the costs a little, I wouldn't have gone...I mean, $450 before drinks, dinner, cover charges was a little ridiculous...

It's really all about your preference. Traditionally, the bridal party does, but I've seen many of my friends plan their own. I'm probably going to end up doing it, mainly because my 2 BP members have worked really hard on my shower (which is this afternoon, shhhh!!). Also, the Bach. party is going to be in the city, which is where I live, and so I know all the places I'd be interested in going.

mine is falling between me, my sister and another one of the BMs. and we are all about 2 hrs away from each other with me in the middle. but we are planning on going to canada so my sister (MOH) can go out with us (she's only 19)!!!

Normally the BP but for mine what happened was my good friends(who weren't in my Bp) asked me what I wanted to do and since my BP was all living in NY/NJ (or Germany) and I was living in VA---my VA friends planned it. Only one person in my BP could come (one was in college/underage, another had just had a baby, and the other was living in Germany for the year). We did dinner and a bar crawl and they pay for me and their own way.
