Ivory dress brides what color shirts are your FH's wearing

and where did you buy them? My FH is wearing a suit, and he wants to wear an ivory shirt w/ an ivory tie to match to make it look formal since he's not wearing a tux. I was at 34th Street Macy's and they didn't have either!! Where else can we look??

mine's wearing white

we debated the ivory shirt, but it got complicated. My fiance bought his tux and will buy his shirt. An ivory shirt he'd only wear once. Besides I didn't want to put the groomsmen and fathers in ivory shirts too (and if I didn't would grooms's shirt look dirty?, etc.) I've seen brides in ivory dresses with grooms in white shirts and it looks great. Only you would ever know his shirt is white (or ivory). My FH is wearing an ivory vest and bow tie (he wanted one he could tie himself and is having one made since he couldn't find it in ivory) try shopping online. I did a search on ivory tuxedo shirt and plenty came up.

I was told by the bridal salon...

that if they wear white it would make my dress look dirty in the photos. I'm not going to take the chance,I trust them totaly. They will be wearing ivory shirts.

The guys are wearing white for mine

My FH's sister who got married last year had a Offwhite dress and her groom was wearing a white shirt. It did not show in any of her pictures that her dress was off white and his was white. Thats why my FH and the groomsmen are wearing white.

where are you getting the shirt? is it the tux place? That's our problem, he's not wearing a tux, so we are not using a tux store..... i'll try other dept stores, or just go w/ white.

My guy is wearing white, I'm in off-white/ivory ...

He wanted to wear platinum vest and tie and it just wouldn't go with the ivory -plus I hear that it will go fine. with my dress. I'm usually worried about a lot of things and am not worried about this! I think it will be fine! Do what you are comfortable with!

I haven't been to a tux place yet. I would think they have all available colors. We are thinking of using Men's Warehouse in Patchogue. Nordstrom might be a good place for you to try. Good luck! P.S. We are getting married at the watermill too!
