Smeared airbrush? the makeup saga continues... (with pic)
For those who have used airbrush before --- I had a m/u trial yesterday and really really liked it, but I had a problem. Remember that awful weather yesterday? Well, I got it finished at 12:15 and had an umbrella, walked to the car, and by the time I got in my front door 10 minutes later a single raindrop had landed on my cheek and totally erased a triangular shaped area of the blush/airbrush. I tried to fix it with my own makeup, but it never filled in the area, and instead made it worse....Did anyone else's airbrush SMUDGE???? What do I do if it's a rainy wedding day??
look at the pics

pic?Maybe the make-up person can leave you a 'backup' of the make-up for the day off?

I would call the girl who did your makeup and ask her that question. I have a trial this Thursday, and the makeup artist told me that since airbrushing is water based, you don't have to worry about crying on the makeup. I wonder why the rain did that. Otherwise, your makeup looked really nice!
. if you ask the makeup artist, please let us know what that answer is.

My cousin used airbrush for her wedding and realized the day of that it looked unnatural-- she ended up washing it off and redoing it right before the ceremony-- sometimes i think that regular makeup is nicer because it can be done with a lighter touch-- Your makeup looked beautiful, but obviously there is a lot of it on - in order to make that much of a difference when a little bit of water gets on it -- JMO

She didnt really have an explanation or reason and just said that 'that's odd, I've never seen that happen before and I wouldn't worry about tears or rain on your wedding day cause I've never seen it happen before'.... but it did happen! oy.... maybe airbrush isnt the way to go??I like how it looked otherwise thougn

Honestly, I thought airbrushed make-up was way over-rated, and I ended up using regular make-up for my wedding and stayed completely put all day and night. At least I knew I could touch up regular make-up.

I had my air brush trial and had to use eyes drops several times after my trial (for contacts). I know I used a tissue so it did not run down my cheeks. But some did anyway but it did not ruin it at all. That's very odd.
Did you use the same person than mine? I know I FM you on her.

At least in my experience, that should not have happened. I got caught outside for at least a half hour in the blizzard of 06 the day of my makeup trial and my makeup was perfect after sleeping on it that night and into the next day (I know, I'm bad to my face...I should have washed it off). But the point is, my face was totally abused with the snow and the makeup was still fine. I used Denise of Angel Eyes. I think she uses Mac makeup.

I agree. And if airbrushing isn't for you, get the same colors with a regular make-up application. You really do look great!!

Your makeup looks beautiful other than the smudge! I have no experience with airbrush, so i can not comment on that! But you look beautiful!!

I think the smear is the blush not the airbrush..

I had my trial with airbrush and I was told that crying does not take it off and water does not remove it that easily

Thanks ladies -- yeah, i really did like it :) I am just weirded out by the smudge, and the idea of crying or sweating and the fact that there was no explanation.... i think i'm going to ask her for another trial with regular makeup with the same colors....

When I had my airbrush trial I was told that if I started crying I should blot the tears and not let them run down my face. I asume that was because the make-up would run, either the eye makeup or the foundation, I dont know.

I LOVE the make-up on you in this trial (other than the drop problem) I think it looks great! I did the same thing as you're going to, I did an airbrush trial and a 'regular' trial just to see which was better for me.Welcome New Vendors
