are you taking lamaze classes? i dont know ANYTHING about labor and delivery and i heard lamaze is a waste anyway....im not sure if i should even bother..what are u girls doing? any input? thanks in advance

I would have to say that after having 2 kids, it was a waste of money-lol!!
A lot of people get something out of it though so I can't just say 'don't go'. You might enjoy it and learn something!

I actually really enjoyed lamaz.

I was the coach for my BF who has twins last year. @ the very least it made us think we were a little more prepared for such a scary event.

I learned a lot from our teacher. She was great.

I'm not sure how much it helped in the actual delivery. The breathing thing was a wash but we got ideas for massaging and stuff.

It was reassuring to know what an episiotomy was and actually see what they use to do it, what a bloody show was and stuff like that. They had to monitor one of the twins internally by putting a wire in his scalp and if I didn't know what it was I would have been concerned. It's a little expensive but for us well worth it. It may depend on your teacher.
