Vendors and children count towards the guaranteed minimum, right?

I'm getting married at The Bourne Mansion and I never saw in my contract where this was addressed. Is this just a given? I have 2 kids under 5 and it says in the contract that kids under 5 are free. They will still count towards my guaranteed minimum of 160, right?

Hi. I think if you meet your minimum without the kids and vendors, then they eat at the discounted rate. If you need the kids and vendors in order to make your minimum, I think you have to pay full price for them.

Kids count towards your minimum (that's what we were told by our BM at the Crest Hollow) Vendors do not count towards your minimum, but they get a discounted rate.

Hmm...I think they changed it! They told me if we didn't meet our minimum, the vendors would count towards our min and we'd have to pay full price until we reach our min. We might need to pay full price for 5 of our 10 band members

Perhaps, or it could just be who you happen to be working with. Not that it's right, but I think the BMs have a margin of what they can do for you monetary wise. We were WAY below our minimum and they even lowered it for us, we still got our vendors at half price and they didn't count towards our minimum.

Re: Vendors and children count towards the guaranteed minimum, right?

If you aren't paying for the kids then they do not count towards your minimum, the minimum is of full price, once you reach the min then discounts come into play.

At one of the places i had looked I would have had to pay full price for little kids because they would not become half price until the min was met. I didn't book that place, but looked a hall where I could easily meet the min so that all of the people (vendors/kids) I didn't want ot pay full price for i could pay half.

(i hope that made sense, i got a little confused myself rereading it but not sure how to word better)

I think each hall has a different policy and you should just check with them and hope they can work something out for you.
